Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about the service
- How do I contact you?
- Email us at [email protected] with any questions, feedback, or issues.
- What should I use this service for?
- This service is intended for non-sensitive, temporary use only - for example, signing up for newsletters, testing, or avoiding spam. Do not use it for sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information. The service comes with no encryption at rest or end-to-end security guarantees, and we retain technical access to stored messages for maintenance and abuse prevention.
- Is this service free to use?
- Yes, it is completely free to use with no limits on how many inboxes you create or how many messages you receive.
- Is there a storage limit?
- Each mailbox has a hard limit of 1 MB. Once that limit is reached, new incoming emails are silently discarded rather than delivered - there's no bounce notification sent to the sender.
- What is the retention policy?
- Inboxes with over 1 year of inactivity are automatically deleted along with all messages. Separately, individual messages are automatically deleted once they are 7 days old, no matter how active the inbox is. Inboxes on a domain that's being retired are also deleted once that domain expires, regardless of how active the inbox is - see "How long do you keep the same @domain?" below.
- Can I send emails from my address?
- No - this address can only receive email, not send it.
- What if I forget my password?
- There's no password recovery. If you forget it, the inbox becomes permanently inaccessible and you'll need to create a new one.
- Who can see the content of my messages?
- Only whoever has your inbox's password can log in and view your messages. As the operator, we retain technical access to stored messages on our server for maintenance and abuse-prevention purposes, but don't read your mail as a matter of course.
- What about spam or abuse?
- Rate limits apply. While the service is free to use, any unnecessary spam or activity that disturbs the service will result in rate limiting or a cooldown from using the service.
- How long do you keep the same @domain?
- We rotate the domain part of your email address randomly to keep addresses fresh and reduce the chance of blocking by email providers. If a domain is retired, it is deleted along with its mailboxes, and the affected addresses stop working.
- Do emails support attachments or images?
- We display the full HTML content of incoming messages, including embedded and linked images. File attachments are not supported and are stripped and not stored.
- Do you show ads on this site?
- We may show ads on this site through third-party ad services to help keep it free. Ads relate to your visit to the site - never to the content of your emails - and personalized ads only run with your consent via our cookie banner.
- Why am I seeing a cookie banner?
- If you see a consent banner, it's because we show advertising, and EU/UK/Swiss visitors must be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set. Change your choice anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
- Do you sell my data to advertisers?
- No, we don't sell your data. If you consent to ad cookies, our advertising partners process certain browsing data (like your IP and cookie ID) directly, under their own privacy policies, to serve and measure ads - we never share your email address, password, or message content with them.
