The rules of using MailGenerator.net

1. Acceptance of terms

Using MailGenerator.net in any way — generating an address, viewing a mailbox, or receiving mail through it — means you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What the service is

MailGenerator.net is operated by Aleksanteri "Alekwv" Nikkanen, an individual based in Finland, and provides free, temporary, receive-only email addresses intended for short-lived use: verifying a signup, testing a form, or avoiding sharing a personal address with a service you don't fully trust. It is not a substitute for a full email account, and it is not intended for long-term or business-critical communication.

3. Eligibility

This service isn't directed at, or intended for, anyone under 16. By using it, you confirm you meet that minimum age, or that you're using it with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required by local law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use MailGenerator.net to:

• Engage in or facilitate illegal activity, including fraud, phishing, or harassment.
• Register for services in a way that violates that service's own terms, where the intent is deception or abuse rather than reasonable privacy protection.
• Send or receive malware, spam campaigns, or content that infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the systems behind this service, including automated bulk creation of mailboxes.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

5. Mailbox rules and availability

Temporary addresses and their contents are provided "as available." Mailboxes with over 1 year of inactivity are automatically and permanently deleted, and individual messages are automatically deleted after 7 days regardless of mailbox activity. The email domains used by the service are rotated periodically; if the domain your mailbox uses is retired, we reserve the right to terminate the affected mailbox, and where possible a warning is shown in the inbox beforehand. There is no password recovery mechanism — losing your mailbox password means losing access to that mailbox permanently.

6. Content and storage limits

Each mailbox is capped at 1 MB of stored content; once that limit is reached, new incoming mail is discarded rather than delivered, with no bounce sent to the sender. Attachments and embedded remote images are stripped from incoming mail before storage. You should not rely on this service to store or archive anything you need to keep.

7. No warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. See our Disclaimer for more on the limits of what this service guarantees.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MailGenerator.net and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including loss of access to an account tied to a temporary address, loss of data stored in a mailbox, or downtime.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MailGenerator.net and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.

10. Third-party links and advertising

Pages on this site may display third-party advertising or link to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

11. Termination

In addition to the automatic deletion rules described above, we may suspend, restrict, or permanently delete any mailbox at any time and without prior notice — for example due to suspected abuse, illegal use, a violation of these terms, technical necessity, or at our sole discretion.

12. Changes to the service or these terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection or data-protection law in your own jurisdiction provides otherwise.
